So in other words please speak up!!! These kids have to learn 2 languages sign and English and they need stability in their education not mobility! I've taken sign language classes and the set up for sentences is very different from English, it can't be easy for them to learn both of them. Their parents need them to have stability too because they are learning the language as well. They deserve the same education as anyone else, they have just as much potential as the rest of us let's help them reach it."People who spoke at the rally wanted to remind residents to write to their representatives about this problem. They said the only way the system will change is if more of the public speaks up."

New School
My niece Brittney is deaf and so is her little sister (age 2). Unfortunately the school system seems to be passing them by. They move their school every year and the accommodations aren't pretty. I'm attaching a link of the protest made this morning at capitol hill. I couldn't get the video to upload so if you want to watch it you will have to link to it. My sis, her husband, niece Brittney, and my Mom were all there.
